Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea, who began appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British TV programs in the year 2009, made her debut as an stand-up comic in 2011. In 2012, she started appearing on a variety of sketch and sitcoms. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is one of the most popular contestants on the show's spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents include Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. She was the only female winner of So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. The father of Bea was Brian was a vet for horses who committed suicide aged three. However, she did not learn the cause of her death until 13 years later. The stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience dealing with suicide. Bea was raised with her older sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and former professional racer. The family was awed by horses, race meetings as well as the race industry. When she was a child, Bea worked as an assistant tour guide at the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early age that she wasn't keen on the sport of racing as a job, and loved performing.
